| Carol Crump Bryner was born in Wallingford, Connecticut in 1945. She received a B.A. degree in Art History from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts and a Masters in Education from Stanford University. She has lived and worked in Anchorage, Alaska since 1969. She has exhibited in numerous group and solo shows throughout Alaska, and her work appears in many public and private collections including the Anchorage Museum, the Alaska State Museum in Juneau, and the Elmendorf Air Force Base Hospital.
Although her primary medium is oil on canvas or wood panel, Bryner has also worked in collage, printmaking and drawing. An article about her work appeared in the January 1997 issue of American Artist magazine, and she is one of 50 artists featured in the recently published book Icebreakers: Alaska's Most Innovative Artists. Her most recent solo show of paintings was in October of 2003 at the Decker / Morris Gallery in Anchorage.
